Chocolate Cupcakes with Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Frosting

So today was a beauuuutiful Sunday. I got to play lacrosse this morning, meet some new people and eat some mexican food and drink margaritas… I literally could not have had a better day. It was almost 60 degrees out and the sun was shining 🙂


So then I came home and wanted the day to continue having a great voila! Cupcakes.


  • 1.5 cups flourIMG_2939
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup cocoa
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 egg


  • 2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/3 cup peanut butter (melted)
  • 2 tbsp milk

1. Preheat oven to 350. Mix together all the ingredients– it will be pretty soupy, that’s ok! Fill your cupcake tins to almost full (this recipe yields 12).

2. Bake for 15-20 minutes. Take out of oven and let cool. Make the frosting!

3. To make frosting: Mix together the ingredients and if needed add a bit more powdered sugar or milk depending on how thick you want the frosting. Enjoy!
