Banana Peanut Butter Ice Cream

So you might have noticed if you’ve been reading my blog for the past few weeks, that I really like bananas. Now, my favorite version of banana is in ice cream or gelato. It’s just so good. But seeing as I live in Chicago and once it gets dark it’s kind of freezing out and walking to get ice cream is kind of out of the question. Plus, I’m trying to stay on this health kick. Soooo this is healthy ice cream and super easy to make!

Ingredients: IMG_2753

  • 3-4 ripe bananas (the riper the banana, the sweeter the ice cream)
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter

Directions:

1. Slice bananas and spread them on a tray. Place tray in the freezer for at least two hours.

2. Using a blender or food processor blend the bananas together until smooth. Add in the peanut butter. Serve immediately for a soft serve ice cream or put back in the freezer for a hard ice cream! Enjoy
