Chocosauras Bananatella Rex

So I was in the mood to bake, but as it’s already late here I didn’t have enough time to make what I really was in the mood for (cinnamon rolls– that’ll be for this weekend). I had one very ripe banana, a craving for nutella and an excess of cake batter in my cabinet…so I began to experiment. And let me say, these are heaven. It might be cocky, but hey– it’s fun to invent your own recipes right? These are super easy to throw together and are ready to eat almost as quickly– a huge bonus!

The credit for the name goes to a good friend of mine…. hilarious right? And so accurate, these cookies are the bomb and I couldn’t have come up with a better name myself!

  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 cup rainbow sprinkles
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 banana
  • 1/3 cup nutella (melted)

1. Preheat oven to 350. Get cookie trays ready.

2. Mix together the sugars, egg, nutella and butter until smooth. Add the dry ingredients and and mix well. Mash your banana and stir into the batter. Fold in the chocolate chips and rainbow sprinkles.

3. Bake for 9 min and let sit on a tray for 1 min before removing to let cool. Enjoy!
